This "hybrid" workshop will include both face-to-face and online technology coordinated with existing M.A.S.S. meetings. It will apply case study analysis skills to effectively solving problems from the perspective of the important academic knowledge and skills, the over arching legal guidelines, and the practical impacts on Superintendents.

Cases will focus on:

  • Building Leadership Capacity,
  • Adaptive Leadership,
  • Leading Meaningful and Sustained Change,
  • Supervising and Evaluating Principals.

In addition, there will be a focus on Fiscal Management and Budget, Managing Political Conflict, Superintendent and Board Member Relations and Ethics, School-based Management, and School District Decentralization.

The course will be team taught by Jack Aherne, Superintendent Abington Public Schools, Patricia Grenier, Superintendent Carver Public Schools and John McEwan, Superintendent Whitman-Hanson Regional Schools.

Costs for enrollment is$400.00 to include textbook
online access and 3 face-to-face meetings.
